The new range of glosses from Max Factor - Vibrant Curve - claims to give an easy, non sticky high gloss look, thanks to a new curved wand...
I was sent the shade Trend Setter for review purposes...
The glosses retail at £7.99 but as they are a new product, they are on promo in a lot of retailers - Boots for example have these on offer for £5.99.
The shades I have seen from the range appear to contain a lot of shimmer - there are around ten shades according to the Max Factor Website.
The "innovation" behind the new wand, does sound more than a little gimmicky - it has a curved tip designed to hug the curvature of the lip. The shocker is that the wand delivers on its promises - It is really easy to use, and glides comfortably across the lips. The wand also appears to pick up a good amount of product on the application surface, and because the back part of the wand also kicks out, gloss is deposited only on the surface which makes contact with the lips;
The gloss itself is indeed non-sticky and very glossy on the lips - the pigmentation in the glosses is fairly low, but they give a pretty enough, shimmery effect;
The downside of the non-sticky formula means that they do wear off pretty quickly - I'd say that to maintain the level of colour shown above, I'd have to reapply after half an hour to an hour.
The glosses do feel very light and comfortable on the lips, and they don't go "patchy" or leave that funny white ring around my mouth like some glosses do...
Verdict - Wearable everyday shades with one of the best applicators I have ever tried - I hope Max Factor go on to use this applicator with other lip gloss formula's as it is fab. The gloss itself feels comfortable but doesn't last very long, but if you don't mind regular reapplications, or find other glosses drying, then these may work great for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for high pigmentation and longer wear, you probably will not like them. Qudos for that wand though! I love it!

Yes, I was ultra impressed with the wand...it is a clever design. Would like to know if was designed by a man or a woman lol ! x
hmm seems pretty nice :) and the color looks so pretty on you!
the colours look pretty - may have to give these a try
Thanks for this - I saw the tv ad and snorted at the "lip-inspired" wand...did seem gimmicky so it's interesting to know it's actually good!
The new applicator shape looks really interesting but the colours aren't that exciting to me.
I swatched a few the other day and they look stunning in the tube but so blah otherwise. Love your review though, makes me want to try it just for the wand! x
