Its always lovely to see Sleek MakeUp's new LE palettes, and the new curious palette is no excaption... I realise this post is coming a few days late, as I was sent this palette about ten days ago, but I feel having to go on ghastly night duty is an excuse enough!
As you can see from the swatches below, the shadows are well pigmented, and there is a nice range of colours - the colours are all quite shimmery and sheeny;
I actually really love the bronze and golden colours in the palette, and the purple also appeals - the only colour I didn't get on with particularly well, is the yellow, which needs to be really packed on over a decent base in order to produce a vivid result - the rest of the palette is a bargain, and these are always well worth picking up - 12 shadows for less than £5, and these are excellent quality for the price.
The shadows have a very soft texture, which is likely in part to be due to them being mineral shadows. In one way, this makes them very easy to work with - the brush picks up a lot of product easily and they are easily blendable. The downside to this is thay can produce a lot of fallout... easily solved by doing face makeup last and for the price, this isn't too disturbing...
I had a little play today and came up with a couple of looks, to see how versatile the palette is...
First up a bit of a smokey eye with a purple accent in the inner corner (I can't have that purple and yellow in front of me and not play with them...)

I bought it but haven't played with it yet, other than swatched it for my blog. I'm still to use Acid and Safari!
I haven't bought this one yet but am tempted to now I've seen you play with it!
I had a feeling the yellow might be a dud when I swatched it in a store but the others look lovely so this may just become a companion for my Storm palette! :)
I haven't bought this one... It hasn't excited me. And I know at under £5 it doesn't need to WOW me to tempt me, but... I dunno, I just don't get the same feeling about this one that I got when I saw the Storm or Chaos palettes for the first time. I think I like the palettes to be a bit more coherent and to follow a theme... even Safari (although themed) didn't excite me either. I'd love them to do a real Christmassy palette - with proper jewel like colours amethysts, ruby reds, sparkly golds and jade greens. Now THAT I'd camp outside Superdrug to buy!
Thanks for the review Jenn, sounds like the quality of the palettes are still great!
@Vexin the City - I never managed to get hold of the neon one either - but I'm not really sure I would have actually used the neon colours? I wanted it though!
@GlitterishAllsorts - its a nice and versatile one for the early autumn I reckon!
@Lipglossping - The christmassy one sounds like a great idea - I'd queue up for that one too! Love my jewel colours!
