Finally, after a loooong wait (five week months are a total drag), I got paid, and was able to treat myself to a couple of bits... *makes mental note that Christmas is coming and she has to actually buy thing for other people, and so mustn't let the makeup haze take her...*
Spurred on by Cosmetic Candy's tweets about a "cat collection in shu uemura", which in turn triggered memories that BritishBeautyBlogger had mentioned this too a while ago... I decided a little trip to the Trafford Centre to investigate further was warranted. Unfortunately, my trip coincided with last years X-Factor losers runners up JLS, who were switching on the Christmas lights and throwing some shapes - long story short, parking was a mare and it was an even bigger mare to get home afterwards, but if they float your boat you can see how they "thrilled fans" here *MizzWorthy tries not to be all Bah Humbug about JLS, but makes mental note to check the events section of the Trafford Centre website next time*
Anyway, the end result, I picked up three things - 2 from the"cat collection", as well as an eyeshadow I liked the look of...First up, the thing I wanted most of all - The Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura Duo Colour Highlighter i "Stardust".
Yes people, this is a highlighting powder with a cat on it! Not just any cat though - a cute gold cat.... look - Its just peeping over the "wall" there... awwww.
Sorry to be a bit of an odd bod too, but I can't bring myself to swatch this baby just yet - I don't want to "spoil" it with my mucky paws, and ruin its perfection. Obviously though, I will soon. The cat bit is not just an overspray either - I checked that! Beeyootiful packaging too. It cost an eyewatering £35, but I LOVE IT!
From the same collection, I also picked up a Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in the shade "Jupiter Brown", which has similar cute and adorable packaging. There is also a pink shade in the collection, but I didn't really think i would work with my skintone, so I plumped for this one...As you can see, its a really warm peachy brown, and it appllies very sheerly, and on me this works well as a nude colour with a bit of punch - proper nudes make me look like one of the undead, but this, I like... Here it is on the lips;
There are some very lovely palettes too in the collection, but I felt a lot of it was dupable and exercised a rare restraint. I can never resist their eye shadows though - they are very very good indeed in my opinion. Very blendable, creamy consistancy, and some lovely colours too...
I picked up the shade ME Orange 250. Here is a picture of it, with a swatch thrown in for good luck...I really like the formulation of the Shu lippies actually - they are light and sheer, but that makes them more wearable - I am going to look next time for a sheer wearable red that doesn't make me look like a serial killer next I think.... Any hints from ladies in the know would be much appreciated...

Is it wrong to want these purely because they have a pic of a cat on them?! I want!
x
I am sooo lusting after this collection, it's all that cat's fault, how can something so cute not come home with me??? Miaow!! I totally undersatnd about not wanting to swatch it, hehe! Did you also see the glosses? Any good? xx
I love that this collection is different to any other collections that we get from all manner of brands..normally we would see flowers and swirls and geometric shapes..love that this is all catty ;)

That powder is so cute!
They look so cute, definitely stand out from the other collections. That lipstick looks really nice and natural on you.
That packaging really is to die for! That lipstick is a really pretty shade, looks lovely on :)
want want want kitty cats :) Shame I don't have a Shu counter :( well probably just as well ;)
I had just made a vow not to spend as much but I see this and want want want!!
I got the lipstick!! lol just for the cat! xxx
HAHA JLS - I actually clicked on that link, how hilarious! All you wanted was some Shu and you had to fight those hordes of screaming teens... that's true makeup dedication. It all looks so beautiful - if I got that, I'd never be able to bring myself to sully it either. But at £35, ouch. I will have to avoid that counter, or I know I'd never resist it either. It's a true collector's piece. Enjoy xxxx
Oh I love the packaging! So cute! :) x
Waaaaaaaaant the cats! I literally screamed when I saw the cats pict, I'm a cat lover. Hubby heard my screaming and said he *might* buy me one for Xmas. So please let me know whether the highlighting powder is any good, when you could bear to use it. :)
Eeeeee! Meow! :DDD
Love posts like these, full of makeup prettiness! ;)
