I was lucky enough to be offered a couple of samples of the Beaute range to try.
Suffice to say, I am impressed - I recieved this and the lip and cheek stain in Fluoron - and I will be dedicating a post to each. They really are that lovely.... and I don't unashamedly rave about many products that pass by my way, what with all these FTC shenanigans (JOKE!!!)
Current interest in this shade is MASSIVE, with it having been featured in a recent Pixiwoo video and so I wanted to chuck my thoughts in...
Trying to capture this colour with my craptastic camera was a definite challenge. First up, a swatch on the hand;
In real life, this shade is one of the nicest reds I have used - it manages to combine brightness and warmth with a flattering neutral to slightly blue undertone. This is flattering in that it doesn't have that terrible effect of making teeth look yellow as some warm reds do, but is not so cool as to look stark and "serial killer like" (I have a thing about red - I LOVE red lipstick, but I have to be really careful not to look like a serial killer when I wear it...)
Ok, as mentioned above, a difficult shade to capture on my camera, so I after what felt like three hours trying to get a good picture of the shade, the best shots are;
Above - in artificial light without flash.
Hopefully these shots will give a good idea of the colour.
Just in case they don't here is a snap of Leighton Meester donning the shade;

The lipcreme retails at $26 on the Beaute website (this converts to around £15.60) for 3g of product. The cremes are Paraben free and claim to stimulate collagen production (A claim I can neither confirm nor deny!).
This feels light yet moisturising on the lips - neatly avoiding another red lip peril - the dreaded "dry cracked" look - NO, NO, NO!
Given their formulation, they have a reasonably long wear too - due, I suspect to the very good level of pigmentation. It does need reapplying post food and drink, but with most reds this would be a necessary thing anyway... In pigment terms these are akin to Illamasqua's intense lipglosses, but look more like a moist lipstick on.... To me they are similar to YSL Rouge Velupte's in look, but last longer on and feel lighter...
I really love this product, and this colour. The only fly in the ointment, admittedly is the availability of the range. Currently only available at the Beaute Website
Furthermore, postage from Canada will also be added... so be aware of this. The devil on my shoulder makes me think that ordering one of those pretty sets on the homepage is a more cost efficient way of indulging....
Repurchase? Most certainly!

thanks so much for this review, it's absolutley divine!
I so want this colour. It looks amazing. Is it wrong to hope that it might make it's way across the pond at some time. It's too beautiful to stay just overseas.
