Ok, so my skin... I have had eczema all my life and therefore struggle with finding products that will clean my face well without having a reaction, however despite the stress outbreak of eczema on my face it would be quite oily - chin, cheeks, forehead hence why I put myself forward to test these products.I was lucky enough to receive the Effaclar duo cream and the Effaclar gel wash. I'm going to start with the wash as it was the one that I encountered the most problems with.So the blurb on the tube," Effaclar is a purifying foaming gel for oily sensitive skin (soap free pH 5.5).Effalcar gel gently purifies the skin thanks to cleansing ingredients to respect sensitive skin. It eliminates impurities and excess sebum leaving the skin clear and refreshed."Directions for use are: lather the gel between wet hands and apply to the face by massaging the skin gently. Rinse throughly.So...initially the product has a nice pleasant "clean" smell - not soapy which I can't stand (as I actually cannot use soap at all) but it's a decent smell! To begin with I was using this on my face every morning, after three days my skin completely reacted to it :( I was completely itchy and sore and wanted to give up using this but persevered, a week down the road I was able to use it morning and night and not have any tightness or dry patches which my skin is very prone to.The one thing I would say about this product is that when you lather it between your hands and apply to your face (arms, wherever!) WOW does it really lather up! At times, I genuinely found this really off putting as I was finding myself having to rinse sometimes up to 3 times!(I can also report that this gel does not in any way taste nice EUGH! yes, stupid me didn't rinse my face properly and it was left on my lips...)So overall, despite the taste of it :S I would genuinely recommend this to those with sensitive oily skin to give you a nice clean and refreshed feeling on your skin that does not dry you out!Next up we have the Effaclar duo...this is a definite LOVE!The tube says...It is a..." Corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection care" which is paraben free.Directions for use are simply, " Apply morning and/or evening on the whole face."This stuff is great, and the tube I have is sadly, almost finished :( I have been using this every morning and night. 9/10 times I am applying my moisturiser on top of it, however on any off days I have had, I have simply slapped some of this on and it has still gave my skin enough moisture all day :D which is always great as my skin likes sucking all moisture out of whatever I put on my face.I can honestly say I didn't notice it having any difference to the look of my skin nor did I feel it lived up to it's "unclogging" claim but purely because it did add lots of moisture to my lizard like face it's a thumbs up from me :).Can I just add that I genuinely have enjoyed using these products minus the first few days and everything here is my honest opinion - I can't and wouldn't lie just for the sake of it

These are great reviews: I have got the products but not the right skin type to get the benefits so its really useful to see they lived up to expectations. My daughter has ultra ultra sensitive skin and La Roche Tolerian is the only skincare product she can use without a reaction. I love the range for that alone.
I used to use Effaclar M, which is the mattifying moisturizer and really loved it, but the formulation change recently and now it's drying out my skin. It's a shame, really, I'm now sans holy grail.
