They say a picture paints a thousand words, so I decided to put this mascara to the test and let you be the judges!
Ok, so this is the drugstore version of mascaras such as Lancome oscillation etc...
The product claims to vibrate horizontally at 100 times per second to mimic the way pro's apply mascara... I have to admit I was a little sceptical about this, I mean how hard is it to wiggle the wand as you go? Not very hey, so I thought this would be a gimmick in the same ilk as that awful Loreal Telescopic Explosion mascara - the one with the tiny torture ball applicator... I really hated that one, so had mixed expectations about this one...
To use it, you have to take it out of the plastic packaging (obviously) and take off the gold tag/label to activate the battery which powers the vibrations...no rude jokes please (yet!). The vibes can be turned on and off which is good- I didn't fancy a vibrating object approaching my eyeball (ahem).
The button is not difficult to get to with the fingers either - quite intuitive (as all good vibrating items should be... stoppit!). I applied the wand to the base of my lashes and then "turned it on" and pulled it through my lashes (no wiggling - I wanted to make sure the mascara did all the work, as they claim!) slowly from root to tip.
*Clears throat* Anyway here are my lashes "au naturel" (or should that be "au natural"? Too distracted by the vibrations... snorrrt!)
And here are a couple of piccys of the lashes afterwards (peepers closed and open so you see the full effect...)It goes without saying that you have to just not even acknowledge the eyebrows. I'm trying to grow them in a bit so I can reshape them...
Anyway, my thoughts on the mascara?
Not as scary to use as I thought actually, and the vibrating feels quite pleasant (stop giggling at the back there!).
It does take a little bit longer to apply to the lashes, but maybe this is because I am not used to the vibes?
I'm impressed with the results too... Gives quite false looking doll like lashes. This to me is good - I don't see the point of applying mascara unless it gives your lashes va-va-voom. May not appeal to the more natural girls though...
What do you guys think?

I liked this review made me giggle! I used this yesterday, I think its awkward that you have to keep your finger on the vibrate button, and it seperates my lashes too much. I like full fluttery lashes I don't want seperate ones so for me its a no. But for people who like seperate lashes this will be perfect I think. Oh and it took ages to dry.
I was quite impressed by it too! I tried one eye with this mascara & one eye with great lash (because I was intrigued by all the fuss about it!) & the difference was great. It was a lot more dramatic & definitely curled my lashes.
Bit strange using it though. Might have to explain to people I'm using a vibrating mascara in case they hear vibrations coming from my room in the early morning, lol!
xxxx
I was impressed with this too. It hasn't given me the volume I usually like- but definitely lengthens and seperates!
I'm just a bit worried about poking myself in the eye with it! x
looks great on you..i did a post like this that i will put up too but it made mine to spidery..i like fullness father than length...gosh everything about this mascaras a sexual inuendo lol...also make me want to sneeze tickles!! xx
Interesting! I was hoping one of the cheaper brands would come out with one of these - I didn't fancy shelling out on the Lancome one for experimentation purposes
hmm seems pretty interesting and looks fab on you gurl! i wud def give it a try ;)
xoxo
It looks good, but I don't think I bring myself to buy it until I'm mascara-less.
I've been debating on whether or not to purchase this mascara because this mascara is $19 Canadian in the drugstores. If I'm going to spend that much for a mascara in the drug store that's not a high end brand it better be flipping amazing. Thanks for posting pictures before and after using the mascara. I may pick it up the next time I'm shopping for mascaras.
It's uh 'aux naturels," if I remember correctly. Why? The French have this weird rule that you MUST MUST MUST match your adjective to your subject if it's a BANQ (beauty, age, number, quality) adjective. It's the most unusual thing. Regardless of the gender, you have to add an 's' if it's plural and then there's this whole NEW rule if a noun is feminine in gendr. It's the darndest hardest thing to remember when I'm typing or writing in French..It drives me completely nuts as then you have to place the adjective in front of the subject *normally* with BANQ adjectives and how many people actually remember that all the time? Not me, I can tell you that. It just drives me cuckoo.
It sounds like such a good mascara but I can't use Maybelline because my skin and lashes just don't like the formula. I either break out in terms of acne (foundation, blush, etc), break out in hives, I lose all my lashes (Great Lash Mascara, never ever again!) or I just swell up. It's just not pretty. I'll stick with my Almay Triple Effect mascara for doll-lash eyes, thank you very much.
Ugh, isn't growing out you eyebrows a pain in the butt? I itch for my tweezers whenever I start seeing the new growth. I need a big ol' sign that says, "DO NOT TOUCH THE TWEEZERS OR I WILL KILL YOU!" on my mirror or something. Maybe I'll use my Dymo labeling gun thinger.
Y'know, I should be doing my essay for Gender & Sexuality but y'know what? This is more fun than writing an essay from hell. Procrastination at its finest.
I have the lancome oscillation mascara and absolutely adore it. I would never have shelled out £30 for a mascara, but my girlfriend bought it for me as a christmas present because i'd been very amused at the idea of a vibrating mascara. It is definately thr best mascara i have ever used. I was tempted to give this maybelline one a go, but seeing as it's £15 and i can get my fancy lancome for £20 on ebay i figure i'll stick with it.
However this really does look great on you. I love a dolly-eyes look.
And your eyebrows are nothing compared to mine! Mine naturally grow asymmetrically, so they're a completely different shape to the other.
I think it looks really great on you and has given a nice full effect! I laughed when you said that you didn't fancy a vibrating object approaching your eyeball! I feel exactly the same way about these mascaras which is why I haven't tried any yet. I do occassionally poke myself in the eye accidentally with a mascara wand, and the thought of doing that with a vibrating one makes me cringe!
I may have to be brave though and give one a chance sometime! :) x
I really want to give this a go. I think your lashes look great! Thank you for the review!

lol i really enjoyed reading this review! I've always wanted to try the lancome mascara so i'm tempted to give this a go as an alternative, time to save some pennies!xx
Ooooh - where do I begin lol...
@Jen - I actually found this dried reasonably ok - one worry I have is that it may dry up too quick... Oh well, maybe different batches lol...
@PeachyKeenCheeks - It does give a dramatic look - the pictures don't really do it justice, LMAO at mental image of people waiting outside the bathroom while you vibe away!
@Daisy - I find collosal volume express (in the disgusting neon yellow and purple tube) gives great volume... I'm not sure which I prefer, this or Max Factor false lash effect...
@Tiffany - Lol, it does tickle, and I def agree people want different things from mascara...
@Staphanie - def worth keeping an eye out for special offers too if you aren't sure - Its £15 here in the UK, which is steep for a drugstore mascara...
@Shifa - thanks hun x
@Rosie - def worth a look if its on offer...
@Naomi - Hope the review helped!
@Kate - I know a LOT of people have that trouble - so maybe people should try great lash or a creapo one before shelling out on this one.. Thanks for the tip on the french lo, and good luck with the essay!
@Lillian - would love to see a review of the Lancome!
@TackyBlueEyeshadow - I reckon its worth a go - esp if you see it on offer!
@Georgie - glad it helped!
@DaisyBee - Boots has a 3 for 2 on all cosmetics at the moment! xx
i really like this mascara too - was pleasantly surprised by it after a bad experience with lancomes vibrating one. But the problem for me is that I can only hold the button down for one of my eyes! x
Looks great, keep thinking about investing in this as its on offer. Think I will get it now!! great results on you :)
WOW, I am impressed! Looks like false lashes... pretty xx
I love how it looks on you.
This looks really good on you. I might be tempted to purchase one and try it on one of my clients. Whatever will they think of next.
