I think I've mentioned a couple of times before both on here and twitter, that my first ever piece of high end makeup was from Chanel - It was an LE eye palette, and it was the start of my love affair with makeup. Before I bought that palette, makeup wasn't really a major passion for me. I had a lot of it, but nothing that cost over £5 - I was all about quantity, not quality. And then I bought my Chanel Palette...
I actually thought I'd lost this palette somewhere along the way of various house moves etc, so I was thrilled when I found it in my storage cupboard the other day - I'm sure the actual makeup itself has long gone off, but it actually has sentimental value for me now... This is the makeup I wore to my 21st birthday, and me and my friends all coo-ed over at uni. Wanna see?
In the palette there are two shadows - a black and a red, both containing silver shimmer, and a black gloss which could be mixed with the shadows...
For some reason, the red shadow is looking more of a peach in the picture, but let me assure you this is a scarlet shadow!
I doubt I'll ever have the occasion to rock these colours again (for hygeines sake I doubt I'd use the palette anyway), but everytime I look at this now, it makes me smile!
I also rediscovered another of my LE set's from Chanel, and I'll show you that too... if you want? Let me know!

Yeah please show us the others. Isnt it great when you rediscover something. I've lost my Nars Orgasm Blush and wish I could find it again lol :)
Yes please! Do show and tell! I totally understand what you mean about make-up having sentimental value. I can remember what I wore the night me and Mr. LA got together. I sometimes recreate the look for nights out and he always gives me a knowing smile!!

That's so lovely! My first make up buy was a No7 lippie called heatherberry and I'm so tempted to see if they still make it!
Post the other I say :D
xx
My very first high end product was Chanel too! I bought foundation, powder and a Chanel Kabuki brush. Looking back I don't know how I afforded it as I was a struggling student at the time!
I love the black & red shadows! :) x
Oh wow, I didnt know Chanel ever did red eyeshadows :O I have some blushes that have sentimental value, theyre not very good quality, but they came in one of those jumbo makeup kits for tweens that comes with a billion crappy eyeshadows and nail polish and lipstick and stuff.
Definitely post the others, I may post all my vintage Chanel palettes at some point.
Incidentally, if the powders haven't separated, or hardened, I'd say they're still wearable. I wouldn't chance the gloss though!
Thanks everyone - I'll def show the other LE I have then!
@Get Lippie - Lol, I'm not touching that gloss!
