I first heard about this foundation in a you tube video from one of my favourite guru's - Lisa Eldridge. The concept of combining makeup with skincare is becoming more and more popular. Anti-ageing foundations are commonly found on most counters, and serums and so called firming ingredients have even made their way into many cheaper ranges such as L'oreal, and Rimmel. Recently, we've even seen the inclusion of haircare ingredients in mascara, and many lash enhancing serums coming onto the market.
In a way then, it seems surprising that anti-blemish skincare and makeup have not been combined sooner, with blemish and acne sufferers often relying more heavily on foundations and bases.
This new foundation from Clinique is an oil free formula foundation, and claims to effectively cover and treat existing blemishes, whilst preventing any new outbreaks. This is also meant to unblock pores, neutralise redness, and sooth irritated sore skin. A concealer is also available in the range.
Take a look at the video below for a demo;
If it lives up to it's claims, then this foundation could be a blessing for those with troubled skin. Take a look at shades etc here.
Whilst I have pretty dry skin, I do suffer from occasional breakouts especially around the chin and jaw area, and I also suffer from a few blocked pores on my nose. I'll be testing this foundation, and reviewing it in a separate post to see if it lives up to it's promises. I'll also be very interested to see if this exacerbates any dryness on my cheeks too...
Anyone else tried this yet? Thoughts?
Please note - as mentioned above this post is a promotion on behalf of Clinique and Handpicked Media, of which I am a member. Please be assured that this will in no way affect my opinion and/or review of the product.

I really want to try this foundation, as I suffer with blemishes around my chin and everything recently has been making it worse, especially Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and Concealer, which is so disappointing as I love both! Can't wait for your review x
i have oily skin with blemishes.i bought this foundation and i really liked it.it provides a natural coverage, controls oil but it doesn't prevent acne.if you have dry skin,it can dry your skin more.
Nice review, thanks for posting.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say "this is a promotional post" though? I've seen it on some other blogs describing it as an advertorial. What exactly does that mean? Is it any different from any other post where a company have sent you a sample?
xx
@ Dannii - I'm a fan of healthy mix so I can understand how annoyed you must be! I hope my review is helpful when published!
@Gizemel - thanks for the comment - this might not work too well for me on my dry areas then, but I'll keep you all posted about how it goes!
@Magpie Sparkles - thanks for commenting.
This is not actually a review of the foundation however - I have yet to test and review it, as mentioned in the post.
When I say this is a "promotional post", I mean that the post contains material that myself and several other members of HandPicked media have been paid to include in a post - in this case the video featured above - as well as tweeting a couple of times a week to draw attention to the video. These tweets will clearly be indicated with a promotion hash (ie #promotion) so that people who I chat with on twitter on a regular basis are aware that I am referring to promotional material, hence avoiding directing people back to the same post again and again needlessly, which would be very irritating for all involved. As I have been paid to publish this content, I'm sure you will agree that it would be completely inappropriate to publish my review at the same time.
Since joining Handpicked Media I have ran several adverts in the sidebars etc, which would always appear separately to any posts or reviews on the products themselves, if indeed I review the products at all.
Hope this has answered your question, and thanks for drawing my attention to the fact that this may not have been clear. I will consider adding a section to the blog which explains my advertising and review policies, as I feel transparency over these issuesis important - I may run adverts etc, however my opinions cannot be bought.
Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. Sorry, I think I typed "review" totally on auto-pilot, I meant to say thanks for your description of the product etc...
I think I'd be all over this foundation if it was a year ago but thankfully the skin gods seem to be on my side at the moment so I don't really have a need for an acne controlling foundation. Look forward to the actual review though when you've tested it out.
like you I suffer from spots around my chin so I'm kinda hoping your review will say this completely cleared up every little spot and blemish and left you with absolutely perfect skin. ok, so that's probably not too likely but one can only hope!
Not been a fan of any Clinique foundations in the past so I think I'll wait till Ive read plenty of reviews before splashing out on this one
