Laura's Bloggy Blog Interview!

Hi Everyone,

So the Lovely Laura has just posted her 100th post (Well done Laura!) and to celebrate, she has started this interview tag, which I was asked to do! Thanks Laura, this is great fun! The idea is to do the questions and then tag two people you'd love to find out more about!

1) What were the reasons behind you starting up your own blog?

Well I started the blog just before Christmas 2008. At the time I was off work ill for a few weeks, I'd been watching loads of YouTube videos about makeup and from there I discovered the world of blogging. I never in a million years expected to get any followers, but I now can't imagine not having to blogs to look at everyday.

2) Who (or what) inspires you in the blogging world?

I think I get my inspiration from all the other bloggers whose lovely blogs I read - I love getting ideas for trying out new products. I also get my inspiration from YouTube and lots of editorial and promo pics. I will never stop looking for my holy grails to get the perfect flawless skin, or to find the perfect mascara. I love reading about other peoples finds and I love sharing mine. I also feel a lot of products are over hyped and like to tell people about these too!

3) Who (or what) inspires you in the non-blogging world (aka reality!)?

My family, my mum and my lovely boyfriend. They all make me want to be the best person I can be.

4) What is your ONE 'must-have', 'holy grail', 'can't-live'without-it' item (can be non-beauty related)?

My Laptop! It's my route to the outside world most of the time!

5) What is your favourite feature and how do you accentuate it?

Probably my eyes, and I enhance with at least mascara on a daily basis, but if I have time (work shifts permitting ets) I love to use eyeshadows, usually in unusual colours (I'm not really a neutral girl!). I also make sure I keep my eyebrows in good shape and get them threaded regularly!

6) What is your ultimate favourite brand (can be make up, fashion, gadget etc!)?

God this is a hard one! Do shops count? If so, I'm going to say Boots because you can get most of the things you need there...

7) What (or who) gives you instant feel good factor?

Having a lovely big hug off my BF after work everyday!

8) Can you give your avid readers one top tip (can be non-beauty related)?

Don't be afraid to explore your individual side and don't just go with the flow and buy into the latest crazes! Individuality is empowering and makes you stand out from the crowd.

9) If you were stranded on a desert island, would you rather go without make-up, music, love or clothes?!

I would probably rather go without music! Mind you then again, if I was stranded, no one would be around to see me looking rough and music would entertain me... so reluctantly on second thoughts I'd have to say makeup!

10) Can you give us one totally random fact?!

Hmm - I like crafts and I do dressmaking, knitting and I've taught myself crocheting in the past!

11) What do you enjoy most about blogging?

"Meeting" people who I'd never normally meet and finding out about new products all the time. It's also a great place to ask people fr tips and tricks if you have a beauty/fashion or even personal dilemma.

12) Do you have a message for your followers?

Just thank you for taking the time to follow my musings and ramblings! I never expected to get 1 follower and I'm now blown away to have 117! Everytime I see I have another follower, I get a real rush, and it's a lovely surprise!
