The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!

Todays Good Things;

Selfridges - Selfridges is 100 this month and are running a series of "Bright and Beautiful" beauty events, one of which is tonight at the Trafford centre... A £10 ticket (which is redeemable against any purchase) gets you a goody bag, a wristband entitling you to unlimited free drinks and access to as many makeovers as your little heart desires... I believe that they are running every Thursday evening in May in the London branch, so hope you can check it out! (Sadly no beauty junkies live near me so I'm going alone! Anyone fancy joining me?)

Being off Work - a fabulous thing in itself!

Being paid - April was a "five week month". Enough said really!

My Illamasqua nail varnish has now lasted four days and is only just starting to wear off the very tips on my right hand (ie my typing hand lol). Thats with one coat of colour, clear topcoat, and no rubber gloves while doing the washing up.

Some improvements in my skin - I've returned to my RMK cleansing oil and the breakout is starting to settle... not to the point where I can go out without makeup on, but it's getting better!

Still loving my new fancy shmancy video camera but I'm worried about doing tutorials - I hate editing and I'm worried they will just look a bit crap compared to other ones in yt land...

Body Shop Vitamin E intense moisture cream - lovely simple night cream.
Todays Bad Things.

Supermarket shopping - or more specifically other people in the queues. Two words people - PERSONAL SPACE! You are not going to get to the til any faster by standing literally two inches away from me. Oh and checkout person - can you please wait for me to finish packing before you start hurling the next persons shopping at me? Thanks!

Being a lone beauty junkie - as mentioned above I'm going to the Selfridges event all on my Jack Jones tonight... I normally don't like shopping with other people - for example I once went makeup shopping with my mum. This resulted in her having a dream that I would end up living like Miss Haversham just surrounded by makeup. She sent me a text while she was asleep which she had to translate for me the next day - which roughly translated as "stop buying makeup and get some savings behind you". I also wouldn't ever go makeup shopping with my BF as he just wouldn't "get" it. But it would be nice to be able to go tonight with someone else who would enjoy it just as much as me...

Running out of makeup storage space.... Hmm, maybe my mum has a point lol!

My Jeremy Kyle addiction - the man is a condescending patronising gnome... but every time I am on a late shift I watch him. What is wrong with me?

Today's Ugly Things.

Cold sores - I had that tingly feeling last night and I've woken up with a whopping blister on my lips this morning, despite liberally coating with Zovirax. Great - just in time for Selfridges. I'll just be having eye makeup put on then tonight... (this pic is gross, but it isn't me! Mine isn't quite this bad - it just feels it!)

I go alone as well, I went to the Christmas Selfridges event and I felt a little lonely. Nobody is in to make up like I am.

I hate it when people stand really close in queues. I also hate checkout staff that rush you, I just go slower :)

Might have to check out this event at the London Selfridges :)

Hey Mizz, how are you! Your coldsore...have you tried a device called Virulite. You can get them on NHS......I get coldsores, and so does my son - the Virulite is the nearest thing to a cure I've ever found as it more than halves the healing time (on my son it can go in as little as 3 days)...seriously it is the find of the century for us coldsore victims! Re Prestige - did you try their eyeliners yet with the black undercolour; they are just amazing - I have a khaki one that I can't do without...! BBBX
