Hi everyone,
So I had a missed call on my phone from Illamasqua in the Trafford centre telling me that they had some items from the new Sirens collection in... Well it was like the bat sign going up over Gotham city, so naturally I had to take a look!
The collection is based around beautiful rich colours as you'd expect from the brand, with a few new products available for a limited period. These include the liquid metals, two creamy metallic products which can be used for various purposes on the face and body such as as an eye makeup base, over lipsticks/glosses or on the collar bones etc. There are also two bronzing palettes available each with two colours in (one more copper based and one more gold-brown based), and a shimmer cream which has a silvery sheen to it when applied - this would appeal more to the pale peeps amongst us (myself included!)
The star product of the collection (in my opinion) is an "exclusive to Selfridges" palette, which contains most of the colours from the collection... I managed to bag one of these at a discount due to there being a very slight defect in the packaging, which doesn't bother me one bit (it just doesn't quite click shut properly!). These are normally sold at the "I deserve a big treat" price of £75, but I got 10% off due to the slightly damaged packaging... (I know - thats still a major treat, but I'm worth it lol!)

The eye colours in the palette are called Fate, Spellbound, Luminescence, Morn, Demonic and Gasp; the powder blushers are called Lover and Unrequited, there are three lipsticks - Fable, Resist and Brink, and a gloss called Melt, and also the two "liquid metals" in Enrapture and Solstice... All the products in the palette are available seperately...
While at the counter I always try to take the opportunity to get my makeup applied by an expert, and today I was transformed by Krystle (who also has a blog and happens to be my co-judge in the contest!!!) who created this look...

She blended the copper coloured liquid metal over my lid as a base and then applied the pale blue shade on the inner third of the lid, the shimmery copper colour across the centre and the gorgeous deep blue shade (called Morn) across the outer lid. The three were all blended well to create a smoky ethereal look, which is unique but wearable...

Krystle then finished the look off with some fierce liquid liner, a pop of gold liquid metal in the inner corner and defined the brows with an Illamasqua brow cake... Then the lip gloss was added with the copper liquid metal dabbed accross it to enrich the look...

What do you think? Hey, I know the palette was expensive by the way, but I heart this brand big time, and I really love the products in it... We all work to buy nice things and this is my reward lol!
Hope you all like!
Love MizzWorthy xxx

Third, I’m sorry, but your pack is with me. I try to post that today and I will tell you my adventure… I work 9 to 5, 5 days of the week. So go to the post office is something that is not in my agenda and I thought I had everything controlled lol.
Has if!!!
After debating several day with how much would be post that pack to other city I went to Superdrug I bought 4 stamps. I was thinking well is not heavy but I’m not sure is enough so 2 days latter, today I went there again and bought 4 more stamps, all on class 1 mail.
Ok I have a pack with 8 stamps, yeap!!! Believe me! So I went to those red things you have on the street, sorry don’t know the name of them. ehhhhhhhh! So happy finaly I’m posting this.
No wrong, you don’t guess what happened!!!
The pack doesn’t fit on the hole!

I’m sooooooooo sorry!!!! Will post probably only Thursday!
Please forgive me and understand! I’m not prepared to deal with those things!!! Lol
@superficialgirl - lol, it can be a bit overwhelming, but there is some great stuff available there, like RMK and Illamasqua, which is not available most other places!
@happy1234 - thanks hun, the poses were mostly an attempt to try to disguise the double chin lol xxx
Other thing!

Sorry the huge post!
@gabriela - LOL, don't worry about it hun! I'm just glad that you liked it! For future references though, I just usually pop to the post office and get it weighed and then send from there... I loved reading about your struggles with it all though! xxx

AWWWW, loving the pictures hun, was really great to finally get to do your makeup! xx
I've decided I need this pallete, I might buy it when we get more in stock!
as for your eyes hun, they are beautiful! most kids pick on things they are jelous of in school (that's what I like to think anyway coz I got picked on loads! LOL)
Hi Mizzworthy!
I met you (very briefly) at The Body Shop do - I think you were the only other person from oop north!
The weird thing is, I think you got my broken palette!! I also got mine from the Trafford centre last weekend and it didn't click shut so I took it back for a new one! At least it didn't go to waste then (and I didn't stick my fingers in it, you'll be pleased to know).
Rowena from Cosmetic-Candy.com
Very pretty!! That palette is gorgeous - you totally deserve it! haha
My entry for your contest will be up today :)
wowza, you can tell that was done by a pro!! You look amazing in those shades, she really got it spot-on! The palette looks like it has a ton of uses, although it's expensive (ouch!) it probably does indeed work out cheaper than buying all those goodies individually. Enjoy! xxx
PS. hope you can recreate that look! It should be your signature face, it's gorgeous!!
Damn that palette is brilliant!!!
I spent hours at that brand's website after reading the contest blog...Wow. A brand that actually uses colour and has creative, original names (and colours for that matter). Yes :).
Whoever wins that contest better be very happy :-P.
@R - Thats soooo strange! Lucky for me you returned it though, as it was the last one lol! I adore it and I can't wait to play!
@krystle - thanks so much for creating such an amazing look - I'll be practicing this one (and the eyeliner) til I get it right! Any you are so right about school kids - they can be very cruel, but it all comes right in the end!
@Stefanie, Gail and Cris - thanks so much for your comments, you are all so right about the brand - it just makes you want to play with colours and try new things! I always think of makeup as a grown up version of crayons and paints, and these totally sum that up! Thanks for reading!
This is soo nice! Illamasqua rules!! xx
@Saskia - Thanks hun - lol, I couldn't agree more!
I'm liking the colour palette and the look you're sporting, very nice. Wish we had Illamasqua here. xx
I wish i had a palette..would be easier to travel with! I bought everything in bits!
