I would be most greatful if the following found its merry way into my Stocking on the 25th...
Cult US brand Hourglass launched on Thursday on fab beauty site Zuneta (which also happens to be the only place in the UK where you can get your mits on the super Rouge Bunny Rouge range). This range was originally launched in 2004 by founder Carisa Jones and was only sold in Barneys New York for 2 years, before enjoying its Sephora launch in 2006 - which happened to be the most successful launch at Sephora that year...
I love the look of the packaging in this range - the compacts feature swivelling mirrored lids (check out the videos on the brand on the Zuneta site/YouTube channel...). The range also has a slight gothic twist to its packaging, which doesn't step too far into the realms of darkness... No surprise that Angelina Jolie is a fan of the line then? Well if its good enough for her...!
I really love the sound of the Solar Tan Primer, which combines their mineral primer with the power of a gradual facial tanner - the fact that this is already sold out on the site, despite its £44 price tag seems auspicious. Its said to give natural results similar to the colour you would naturally tan... a paley such as myself would probably only need this a couple of times a week (*convincing self that this is therefore an essential purchase*) Excuse photo's - directly lifted from Zuneta website!
The "Extreme Sheen" Lipglosses from the range also sound fab - said to be water resistant, drink and foodproof. I love the look of shades Truth, Verse and Ignite
Of course I am an absolute SUCKER for foundation, so I must mention the Veil Fluid Makeup - said to feel silky smooth on the skin. This also contains a substance called Matrixyl - a collagen stimulator, which therefore has anti-ageing properties. It is free of mineral oil and fragrance, and contains SPF 15, and is also meant to be water/humidity/sweat resistant - the video on the Zuneta site also boasts that the product does not need to be set with powder. This appeals to me, as I love the way liquid foundation looks when freshly applied, and not having to set with powder sounds lovely!
I also love the look of their Adorn Lipstick in the shade Lucid - described as "a soft rose with a stunning metallic shimmer", and Icon "the ultimate blood red" (Surely dissertations could be written on the perfect Red lipstick!?).
The shadow duo's also look lovely - "Prism" and "Dune" both appeal to me, although these are said not to be as buttery as the RBR shadows (which would be difficult to be fair!)

I recently blogged about a couple of Korres products (I'm still using that Tinted Moisturiser on a daily basis!), and the Rouge Bunny Rouge makeup range (here and here). Both are available from the Zuneta Website - in fact this is the only place you can get the RBR range online - there are lots of ranges on there I haven't seen elsewhere or even heard of actually. Its definitely worth a visit if you like to find something a little bit different...
I actually discovered the wesite via the FAB blogs of BritishBeautyBlogger and LondonMakeupGirl
and its one of my faves now, I love going on to look at the lovely things lol... and deciding what to get next from Korres.
Anyway, Get to the point woman! When I blogged about the Korres products - a tinted moisturiser and a Zea Mays blush, I made the point of mentioning the issues with the colour descriptions and swatches that Korres have for the brand, which have that "pantone" thing going on (ie they look a bit like paint swatches from B&Q and similar places...). For example, my "peach" blush was more of a pink shade etc... In short, although Korres is a great range, it may suffer from bad swatches.
Shortly after publishing the review, I was emailed by the owner of the Zuneta website, who was in agreement that this was an issue, which she wanted to try put right, and she has been working with Korres on improving their swatches etc. In addition to this, Zuneta have also launched their own YouTube channel which give a really good overview of a lot of the korres products, such as which foundation is suitable for which skintype, an overview of available colours etc - so if you are thinking of making a purchase, I'd definitely recommend checking that out.
I also wanted to mention that the Zuneta website makes recommendations to you in terms of colours/products when you log in, as it helps you to create your own "Profile" in the Clinic section of the site - different profile types are represented by beautiful pictures of several different models of different skin shade and ethnic background, like the ones in this post...
Zuneta are now launching a search for new models to represent them on the website -
the Zuneta Model Search 2010 is being held in conjunction with Elle Magazine, Rouge Bunny Rouge and the FM Modelling Agency - you can watch a video about the contest here.
