Over the last few months I've really started to enjoy reading male grooming sites - although fewer in number than their female counterparts they make for great reading, at times tongue in cheek, but usually chock-full of no-nonsense facts about ingredients and "cutting through the BS" style reviews... They are also a refreshing insight into the fact that, protest as they might, a lot of men want to look good, and do care about grooming, personal hygiene and other "girlie" stuff...
SC for M (Skin Care for Men) is "your complete unbiased guide to skincare and grooming! Starting from building your skin care routine going through to treating specific needs, product reviews, acne advice, shaving problems, hair loss, anti-aging, cosmetics, fragrance and lots more."
SCforM makes for a great read - Dil's skincare reviews are filled with facts about active ingredients and it's one of the most well researched blogs around, meaning that content is very reliable. The style section is also a great source of information should you fancy treating any males of meaning in your life to some new togs...
Dil is a lovely bloke to chat with on twitter too - catch him at @SCforM
Grooming Guru is another great blog written by industry insider Lee Kynaston, which promises to "give the lowdown on the very latest products and treatments and offering an insider's view of the rapidly expanding male grooming industry"
This blog has short and to the point posts which give you the lowdown on the latest launches, and also talks about the latest adverts and industry gossip. Always an entertaining read, and Lee is also an essential follow on Twitter (@grooming_guru) - his tweets about the wonder that is "The Only Way is Essex" regularly have me in stitches.
Ape to Gentleman is a blog packed with masses of content in an appealing magazine layout. The site is regularly updated with unbiased reviews for those aspiring gents out there, whilst still remaining in touch with your inner ape - " we should all aspire to be well groomed gents, it’s important that we never totally eradicate the ape in us; the ability to find humour in the most inane of things, the tendency to act like a fool when the situation least warrants it, because lets face it, at the end of the day, the ape has more fun"
The blog is also packed with fun stuff like a music mix available on iTunes, as well as sections on grooming, fragrance, a forum and also a section written by female contibuters such as Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends, and Get Lippie.
The Chapblog is a relative newbie in the blogging world, The Chap in question having been inspired by May of May Loves Makeup, a popular female beauty blogger, who happens to be his other half...
The Chap is a blog written from an everyday bloke's perspective, with thorough and down to earth reviews, covering a wide range of affordable products as well as the odd treatment or film review chucked in for good measure. Loving this blog so far, and both the chap (@TheChapblog) and May (@MayLovesMakeup) are on twitter...
Are you a fan of male grooming blogs? Tell me your faves! Who else should I be following!?

Thank you for this! I've just sent a few items to my male friend in Canterbury to test and review for the blog - now I can send him these links as an example of what to aim for.
I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of great beauty blogs I'm finding these days... Google Reader is starting to look quite bloated!
Thanks for featuring me Jen! Love the other sites you mentioned too!
