The Big British Beauty Poll with Olay.... The Results

Waaay back in September, I posted about the Olay Big British Beauty poll - well, the results are out, and a whopping 20 000 women took part in the survey, so the results for once mean something instead of the usual poxy "87% of 29 women tested agreed that this toothpaste changed their lives" tosh that often makes up the small print of beauty ads...
  • Audrey Hepburn's look is still considered the most iconic of all time... Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly and Liz Taylor were other classic beauties scoring high, whilst more contemporary beauties were represented by Cheryl Cole, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston (Just don't mention Brad Pitt).
  • The old adage of a "Good Hair Day" seems to be being replaced with "Good Skin Day", with 50% of women voting clear healthy looking skin the top beauty attribute. Bright eyes, shiny hair, a decent set of gnashers and a toned bod were also popular answers...
  • The allure of the needle is fading, with fewer women being prepared to get the needle now, preferring instead to go for a facial, a facial peel, laser treatment or microdermabrasion treatment.
  • Wrinkles (34%) and a sagging jawline (31%) were felt to be the biggest challenges in the fight against aging.
  • When it comes to cost it seems women spend around £23 per month on beauty treatments (excluding salon treatments)... I was interested to read that younger women are likely to spend more, with women over the age of 44 spending less... So it seems that we grow comfortable in our own skins as time passes...
  • It also seems we draw the line at £40 is for a skincare product - less than 10%of women would fork out over £50.
Olay also polled women trialling their new Regenerist 3-Point Treatment serum to a friend, and 98% stated that they would!
Have you tried the serum? I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

If you have something else urgent to say on the matter of beauty or ageing, then Olay are hosting a live webcast at http://www.olaybigbritishbeautypoll/ on Thursday 25th November at 16.00, so if you have any questions or points of view then get on board!

Small Print - This is the second part of a sponsored post.
