Pucker Up with Estee Lauder...

The new LE collection from Estee Lauder for February is perfect for a treat either for Valentine's Day, or just to treat yourself... (I hate all the hype that surrounds Valentines day, but collections like this are worth noting!)

The collection is a Debenhams exclusive, and only available for the month of February, and consists of twelve lipsticks and 4 lipglosses.

The lipsticks are Lauders "signature lipstick" formula, and are creamy, but long-lasting. They are packaged in a classic gold bullet, and priced and £17.50, or 23 Euros for 3.8g.
They also have a pretty "Love" design embossed into the actual lipstick;
The glosses come in pretty vials with the same "Love" design over the tubes... They retail at £15/ 20 Euros for 3.8g

I was sent a selection of the products by Estee Lauder for review purposes...
I recieved four glosses from the range, as shown above - shades from Left to Right are - Pink Kiss, Cherry Kiss, Sweet Kiss and Coral Kiss. They all contain small glitter/shimmer particles, in the colour of the gloss, as well as silver and gold shimmers...

There are corresponding lipsticks to the glosses, and they can obviously be layered for a more intense look.

Above - Sweet Kiss; This and Coral Kiss are probably the most "daytime" of the four. This one is very easy to wear, and is actually quite well pigmented  - it pales down my lips a little, and is pretty and easy to wear.
Above - Coral Kiss; again a nice peachy, not-quite-nude but easy to wear shade
Above - Pink Kiss; venturing more towards the more dramatic/nightime, would look great on darker skin.
Above - Cherry Kiss -  a lovely berry shade, good for night time on us pale types, but would also look amazing on olive/black skin for a daytime look.

All of the glosses are well pigmented, and can be worn quite sheer or built up for a more intense look. They are all very shiny, and despite containing shimmer particles don't feel gritty on. Like any gloss, frequent reapplication is necessary, but these are quite sticky, so last reasonably.

Above - Swatches on the hand from left to right; Cherry Kiss, Pink Kiss, Coral Kiss, Sweet Kiss.
The Shimmer is more visible in these swatches.

This might be an odd thing to observe, but these lipsticks feel nice and "weighty", without being too heavy. The packaging is nice quality - you line the ridges up on the lid and the base, and it shuts with a satisfing clunk...
The embossing is a nice touch...
Above - Cherry Love - this Berry shade correspoinds with the Cherry Kiss gloss. A definite "Night-time" shade for me...as it is much richer in reality than the picture shows... I'd love to say I do, but I doubt I would have the nerve to wear shades like this during the day...

Above - Pink Crush -A deep, rich pink shade richer in reality than the picture, again, I feel this is a night time look for me.

Above - Coral Kiss - Corresponds with Coral Kiss Gloss - definitely the most daytime friendly and wearable of the three for me.

Apologies for the blurred photo's of the lipsticks - by the time I realised they were not great, the light was too poor to redo them, and I wanted to get the post up as soon as possible, due to this range only being available until the end of February

The lipsticks themselves are comfortable feeling to wear - not too matte nor too sheer... Which means they last reasonably without being too drying - if you have dry lips, they might cling to the dry patches, so make sure they are well hydrated prior to application. I'd recommend a decent liner with the more dramatic shades, just to prevent them looking a bit "wonky edged", as they do above...

Above - Swatches on the skin, from Left to Right - Coral Kiss; Pink Crush and Cherry Love

Both the glosses and the lipsticks in the range are very high quality - on a personal level I find the glosses easier to wear, and therefore more appealing, however I can appreciate the quality, finish and pigmentation in the lipsticks, even if I would find the colours shown above a little bit more challenging to wear. The shades shown would be great for a night time look, although I would find Coral Kiss wearable for daytime too.

Another great collection from Estee Lauder...

I love all of the lipsticks and most of the glosses and the Michael Kors collection is TDF but whenever I go to the counter I can never find any of the new stuff, and I really want to try before I buy as my lips are so red, that the pale colours might well come up like clear grrr I really want to try them! I shall have to track that down and the No.7 highlighter! The things you make me want to buy missy ;)

Those swatches of the glosses are fabulous. I love that you sort of layered it on instead of it just swiping it across the skin once. Look so rich and I actually like the pinks.

Also, thanks for the lovely comment about Ellis's stuff! Wish we had more time to speak at the Liberty event... next time.

Having a wonderful time with Caroline of Lynne.tv in Hamburg. She speaks very highly of you!
