Loving/Not Loving 16.04.09!

So its been one of those days of extremes!

LOVING

• Kelly (http://happy1234make-up-blog.blogspot.com/) and Gabriela (http://gabriela-lifeinengland.blogspot.com/) - you both know why! All I can say is thank you!
• My BF acting very out of character yesterday and splurging on a new HD video camera - which came today! Better quality youtube-age on the way!
• MAC Spiced Chocolate quad
• Discovering a CCO near me recently
• Illamasqua sirens palette - I have used something out of this everyday since I bought it!
• A surprise early dart from work
• All the fab and amazing contest entries - you people have talent!
• Palmers cocoa and peppermint lipbalm
• Body shop lip butter...

NOT LOVING

• The nark who works at the local post office who informed me "we don't do parcels here" when I went to try and post a swap today - Sorry melovemakeup - that's why it will be arriving late!
• Realising how inept I am with new technology (new camera for example...)
• UDPP - It creased for the first time today...
• MAC creme cup lipstick not at all matching the rest of the makeup I was wearing today, but not realising this until it was too late...
• Bills bills bills...
• Swaplifters. Why people, why? Just play fair for gods sake!

Loving/Not Loving

Hi everyone...

So I haven't done one of these for ages, and I love reading everyone elses, so I thought its high time I did one!

Today I am Loving!

• The fact that my work trousers feel a bit looser after two weeks off - I don't know how though!
• The Apprentice
• Finishing work half an hour early
• My bargain superdrug foundation brush! Works better than a MAC flat brush and cost about £3.50. And it applies cream blush fabulously too!
• Finding what seems to be the only pair of socks in my possession with no holes in the toes!
• Reaquainting myself with workplace humour and finding out one of my favourite people who left is coming back!
• Lily Allen's album at full blast in my lil' car on the way to/from work
• Coming home to find an email from Illamasqua waiting for me
• Body shop lip butter!
• Snog, Marry, Avoid on BBC3 - An abject lesson in the fine line between dramatic looks and just looking like an old slapper!
• The amazing entries we have recieved to the contest!

Not Loving so Much!

• Horne and Corden on BBC3... It should have been so much better!
• Doing a late shift today and then having an early shift tomorrow.
• Having a headache. All evening...
• Being back at work and not able to lounge and enjoy twitter, blogging, youtube....
• Having rubbish in-between-lengths hair... It's driving me mad! I long to get it all chopped off again!
• Knowing there are only socks with holes in in my drawer tomorrow - time to go clothes shopping instead of makeup shopping me thinks!
• The heels on my new boots being knackered already!

This weeks Loves and Hates....

Hi everyone,

Not done one of these posts for a while, so here we go!

This week I am mostly loving...

• Dramatic blusher - namely NARS Sin, Taos, Angelika and Cactus flower.
• Revisiting past makeup loves - MAC Style blush, which is a peach shade with a gold sheen. This was one of the first products I ever bought from MAC. I hit pan then used it up. Recently repurchased it and fallen in love all over again.
• Supersize V's Superskinny on channel 4.
• CHI Silk infusion.
• Discovering I can make my hair look OK by leaving it down now...
• MAC's Creamteam lipglosses - These haven't had much love on the blogs etc, but I am in love with my boy bait...
• Being on you tube and all the lovely comments I've been getting on there. Thanks so much everyone!
• MAC Lavender Whip - I ummed and ahhed about this one for days before popping to mac and trying it on. I used to think purple lipstick belonged in the 80's. I was so very very wrong.
• MAC studio sculpt foundation and concealer...
• On TV - Being Human on BBC3, I cannot stress how much I am loving this! Also Re-runs of King of Queens - I've even got my BF into this now!
• Finally finding a decent bronzer - thank you NARS Laguna!
• Prawn salads.

And mostly Hating...

• Being ill with mystery lurgy-type-virus, meaning I can't go to the gym. Missing my post gym glow, and I feel like I'm loosing the little fitness I have gained...
• Taking the time to do my makeup and then having to blow my nose and ruin it all due to lurgy-virus.
• Not being able to locate any NARS albatross for a friend...
• Having to wait to get a decent camera.
• Having loads of headaches and having to go straight to bed after an early shift. Again, both due to lurgy-virus.

Hello all,

This week seems to have flown so fast! Can't believe it's Friday already...

So this week I am mostly Loving;

• NARS Albatross and Orgasm blush duo. HG combo for me...
• Blogging and catching up with other lovely peoples lovely blogs.
• MAC 'Vex' shadow over blackground paintpot... lurvely!
• Post Gym Glow and feeling that my muscles are 'waking up' afterwards!
• Making my own soup... made butternut squash and butterbean today.
• Staying up super late tonight as for once me and my bf are both off tomorrow...
• Building up endorphins from starting back at the gym.
• NARS Firming foundation.
• Finally having been threaded and got the pain over with!
• Body Shop almond oil cuticle pen and China Glaze calcium gel nail treatment.
• China Glaze Lubu heels nail varnish.
• Anticipation of MAC new foundation and BBR collection coming out on Thursday... I'm feeling another foundation review coming on!
• BBC3 at the moment - Love love love 'being human'!
• Last but definately not least! TWITTER. Nuff said!

While I am mostly Hating;

• Post Christmas skintness.
• Anticipating full time hours next week...
• Noise induced insomnia thanks to the noise levels my bf produces through snoring...
• ... then having to try to be sympathetic when bf complains he is not getting enough sleep!
• Having to wait til March for Hello Kitty.
• Growing my hair! Its a HOT MESS at the moment, neither here nor there, too odd looking to wear down and needs about twelve hairpins to control the front bit which is shorter when tied up... yuk.
• Beauty 'must have lists' compiled by experts, as in the new edition of 'in style'. Seriously, do they think we don't know the beauty 'experts' are being bribed by manufacturers - if not, why did NARS and MAC not win more! I want to see these lists voted for by us people who actually have to pay for products!

This weeks Loves and Hates....

So this week I have been mostly loving;

• Celebrity Big Brother - I am still addicted to BB after all these years, I know I should know better, but I just get drawn in every time!
• NARS Orgasm/Albatross powder duo - Can't get enough of these at the moment. Can't get enough of NARS full stop, new obsession alert. This will not please my bank manager...
• Blogging support - this week I posted about how awful I was feeling about my weight, and I was really touched by all the lovely messages you lovely people wrote me - I think I'll be starting a diet blog tomorrow separate to the makeup one. Will post details for anyone who is interested!
• 109 Brush - never fails to amaze me!
• MAC 'Posh it up' plushglass... Love it...
• Barry M 132 lip paint - 'Posh it up' in lipstick form...
• Vaseline rosy lip pot
• Carmex in a pot at night time.
• Mac Fix+
• Reading reviews on NARS stuff on makeup alley
• Watching Youtube vids about NARS, making requests for vids and having them done!!! (thank you osea81!)
• Watching 'Unforgiven' on ITV.
• Watching programmes about babies on discovery home and health....

And mostly hating;

• The fact that Ulrika won BB! Should have been Verne or Terry...
• Lost starting again when I have missed a couple of series due to not having sky at the time...
• credit card bills.
• Being described as a 'big girl' by a patient... to my face... Oh the shame!
• Having to look for new boots after the sole all but fell off my current comfy pair...
• Davina McAll acting like a big kid on BB... Give it up!
