Yay, it finally came lol!
I went to Space NK today for my skin consultation and mini-facial then had a make-over by a NARS make-up artist called Christina, who was really nice and friendly...
For the mini facial I was cleansed with chantacaille gentle cleanser and pure rosewater, and then they used Eve Lom rescue mask on me and finished it off with Eve Lom SPF 15 day cream and added extra SPF... Felt so nice afterwards and I got a hand massage while the mask was working too - lush!
Next came the bit we were all looking forward to, the makeover lol. They asked me what type of look I wanted to go for and I told them I like to empasise my eyes and just wanted some tips re blusher and making my skin look flawless...
Unfortunately the usual problem with NARS happened - a gorgeous orange eye shadow due she used which I wanted sooo bad called mediteranee, was, you guessed it out of stock. As were multiples in mustique, and portofino, but I did manage to get a few things (shocker - me buying makeup!)
So this is the end look she gave me -
I'm really pleased with the look, but I think she used a bit too much bronzer on me - I felt like it looked a bit orange in certain lights, but I loved the way she did the eyes - it made my blue peepers really stand out...
Products used (from memory) (All NARS obviously!!)
- Multiple sticks in portofino and mustique;
- Firming Foundation in Mont Blanc
- Shadow duos in mediteranee, Isolde and Pandora, single shadow in Fez, and ceam shadow in El Dorado...
- Blondie eye shadow as brow powder.
- Kaliste (Teal) eye liner.
- Powder blush in Lovejoy
- Nico blush/highlighter used as a finishing dust after setting foundation etc with powder.
This is everything I can remember lol. The lipgloss was a mixture of a few different colours including sandpiper and misbehave with lots of clear gloss...
What do you think? As I said the only thing I'm not really thrilled with was the bronzer (Laguna...), but I'm not sure whether it's just because I'm not used to it...
