Everyday Minerals.

So my samples arrived today - this is my second batch. Also ordered a brush and the puffer jar.

Will discuss the brush first though - my god, this really is as soft as they say on YouTube - I never want to be without this. I'm probably going to make a full order on EDM soon and will probably order at least one more of these - would ideally like one for mineral foundation, one for bronzer and one for finishing powder.

Seriously, this brush is so soft. It is so dense and picks up product effortlessly. It is the best brush for mineral makeup I have ever used -I have the bare minerals kabuki, handy buki and flawless application brushes and this is better than them. They are so scratchy compared to the EDM brush. It feels lovely on your face and makes putting on minerals seem like a pleasure.

Have not tried the puffer jar yet - will save this for when I get full sized products, but it seems good - It's a refillable base with a large puffer applicator on top. The top has a mirror on it which is a really god idea, so it will be a good thing for on the go touch ups and travel too. Hope it works well as a product. The jar was only $4, so not too much to replace - wouldn't want to use the same one for too long for hygeine reasons really.

This batch of samples has intensive foundations in it. It looks lovely on and will update about their stayability after a few days...

How does this compare to Bare Escentuals? Have you used it?

Hi there, Yeah I use bare minerals most days for work, and I really just tried EDM out cos I saw some good reviews on youtube and was impressed by their prices. The foundation comes in four finishes - original glow ("healthy dewy glow"), semi-matte ("a soft luminous touch"), matte ("radiant without shine") and intensive ("extra coverage"). I'm still trying to find the perfect shade, they have a large colour range, which can be a bit confusing, but then that's the point of ordering the samplle kits...)
In terms of finishes I've tried the original glow, semi matte and intensive - the intensive and original glow ones last very well, usually 8-10 hours, whereas although the semi matte looks lovely on at first, sadly it only lasts a couple of hours. In terms of appearance, the original glow probably looks the most like BE, the intensive looks very polished and gives really good coverage. Both formulas outlast the BE which I find has usually disappeared by midday.
The EDM also contains no bismuth oxychloride, which the BE does contain and some people find makes them itch. Conversely I have also seen youtube reviews in which people say that the EDM breaks them out. It's definately worth a try though, as it is such a good price, their kits are really good value. Hope this helps x

hi mizzworthy, that was very interesting to know how well the EDM was on their foundation. the only concern i have how to find the perfect shade without ordering every shade that comes close to your color. i'm very surprised that it actually outlasted Bare Escentuals.
